Mike and Rashell purchased their first saddle mule – Fanny in 2005. She was the closest thing to a horse that Mike would allow Rashell to buy. Soon after, Rashell brought her home, everyone, including her husband fell in love with her. So their journey began!

It was just about four months later, when Mike found a pretty little Persheron draft mule team down south. So off they drove to take a peek and came home with the two draft mules. They jumped in with both feet, not having a clue. Of course neither one of them knew anything about driving one mule, let alone a team of mules! In fact, Rashell was the only one that had any equine experience at all. Mike loves to farm, and that is what he brought to the Timberland WagonEars. There’s nothing like turning over freshly-plowed dirt with a shiny plow and a nicely-matched pair of draft mules.
