First, a little about Belgian Draft Mules. A Belgian Draft Mule is a hybrid cross of Belain mare and a Mammoth Jack "Donkey." Our draft mules range in height from 15.3 to 17 hands tall.

The Belgian Draft Mule is known for its sure footedness and easy temperament. They are very versatile animals. They can stand heat better than a horse and this is why they are used in Death Valley. They are also the only animal used to haul people and supplies to the bottom of Grand Canyon, going over very steep and narrow trails along sheer cliffs and down the inside of the Grand Canyon.

They are also known as the only animal that can see where they can plant their back feet. They are extremely intelligent and very affectionate. If a mule gets to know you and trust you, it will do just about anything that is possible for their owner.
